Mission Statement

Our Mission is to promote, facilitate and monitor the development of effective Quality Systems within appropriate agencies of the Bahrain Government. By undertaking these activities we expect to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the Bahrain Government's services for the betterment of the Kingdom and its citizens.

Main Duties and Responsibilities (Internal & External)

    Promote a culture of quality throughout the Government, with a view towards constant improvement of the efficiently and effectiveness of Government organization's activities.

    Study, identify and prioritize those Government organizations or services that would benefit from the adoption of a formal Quality Assurance System.

    Promote and facilitate the development and adoption of formal Quality Assurance Systems by appropriate Government organizations.

    Develop and establish the framework for installing Quality Assurance Systems in Government organizations.

    Ensure a consistent and effective Quality System framework is implemented in Government organizations, in partnership with concerned CSB Directorate and other Government organizations.

    Supervise the development and initial implementation of quality management procedures by Government organizations.

    Provide consultations and assistance to Government organizations on the implementation of Quality Assurance Systems.

    Evaluate and approve Government organization's proposal to seek certification to international Quality Assurance Standards.

    Maintain a relationship with external assessment bodies on behalf of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) and other Government organizations, to facilitate ongoing certification to ISO 9001:2000.

    Implement and maintain a Quality Assurance system throughout the CSB, which meets the requirements of the international Quality Standard series ISO 9001:2000.

    Promote a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement throughout the CSB, with view towards constantly improving the efficiency and effectiveness of CSB services to its customers.

    Advise CSB service providers (Directorates / Section) on appropriate improvement goals and methodologies.

    Provide and facilitate training to CSB staff, to support the Quality Assurance system and Continuous Quality Improvement culture within the CSB.

    Evaluate and plan appropriate methodologies to develop and improve Government Quality Assurance systems, utilizing all available means to benefits from international developments in the Quality Assurance field.
