Updated News on HoRISon Project

The implementation phase of the HoRISon project has now been completed.

The first key stage of this Phase of the project was obtaining the functional requirements. This was performed by means of conducting workshops with the Directorates concerned within CSB and MOFNE.

The next stage of the project focused on the set-up of the Oracle HRMS application, the communication of project and progress to the user groups as well as the process of purifying the current data.

The project was completed on schedule in March with the parallel run stage extending to June. At this time the WANG payroll system was shut down and the July payroll was produced from the HoRISon system. Access was given to the Admin & Finance department in CSB to be responsible for inputting certain employee actions. These were:

Bank Authorisations
Leaves
Overtime and Shift Hours
Part time Hours

The next phase of the project, ‘Rollout and Support Phase’ has started. In Stage 1, all ministries were given the inquiry option enabling them to view the data for their employees. Stage 2 will start during March where ministries will be given the authority to input Overtime and Shift data and Part time hours. During the rest of 2003, the data entry of all leaves will be added. The third stage of the Rollout will be to implement the first four actions that require CSB approval. These will be processed through ‘Workflow’ and will be as follows:

Quality Step Increment
Training Request
Recruitment – Actual Start Date Processing
Promotion
