Resolution No. (12) for 1978
Regarding
Working on Official Holidays and Fridays

Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs,

In accordance with the Decree of Low No. (10) for 1977, regarding adding a new fund to the budget of 1977 for improvement of salaries of Civilians and military Government employees; and with the Prime Minister’ s Resolution No. (8) for 1975, regarding delegation of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in some jurisdictions.

The following is decided:

Item 1

When conditions of work require the employee to work on any Official Holiday, on Friday or on any rest day officially designated in lieu thereof, he shall be paid a sun equivalent to 150% of the normal pay for the day which he already receives as part of his monthly salary.

Item 2

Any other provision of regulations or procedures that contradicts the provisions of this resolution is hereby rescinded.

Item 3

The Civil Service Bureau and concerned units in Ministries should implement this Resolution effective the date it is issued and it will be published in the Official Gazette.
