Resolution No. (11) for 1977
Regarding
Re-appointment in Government Service

In accordance with decree No. (6) for 1975 regarding the establishment of the Civil Service Bureau, and Resolution No. (8) for 1977 regarding delegation of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in some jurisdictions; and at the suggestion of the Civil Service Bureau, the following is decided:

Item 1

Re-appointment of a former employee of the government who applies for re-employment and who has not been previously dismissed for disciplinary reasons is accomplished on the basis of the need for his employment and according to Civil Service Regulations.

Item 2

When such a former employee of the government is re-appointed, his salary will normally be fixed at the minimum of the grade of the position to which he is appointed.

Item 3

At the discretion of the Civil Service Bureau and upon request by the employment Ministry the former Government employee may be appointed on a step of the grade of the position he will occupy based upon qualifications, service years and related experience required to perform the work. Each case will be treated as an exception and must be approved by the Civil Service Bureau.

Item 4

Previous service of the employee may be credited according to article No. (6) of Decree by Law No. 13 for 1975, regarding organizing retirement pensions and indemnities for government employees and workers which is revised by Decree by Law No. 22 for 1975 and Decree by Law No. 5 for 1976. The previous service is creditable for the purpose of assuring that the employee receives any service related benefits, for which he is eligible.

Item 5

The Civil Service Bureau and concerned units in Ministries should implement this Resolution effective 1st April, l977 and it will be published in the Official Gazette.
