Resolution No. (6) for 1980
Regarding
Placement or Surplus Bahraini Employees
Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs,
In accordance with the Prime Minister’ s Resolution No. 6 for 1978 regarding the assignment to Civil Service Bureau of central management and control of all personnel providing services to the Government of Bahrain,
and on Resolution No. (8) for 1975 which delegated some jurisdictions of the Prime Minister to the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Resolutions (2) and (3) of 1978 of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs regarding Manpower Surveys and Manpower Ceilings,
And with the approval of the Council of Ministers;
It is hereby ordained
Article (1)
Each Ministry along with the Civil Service Bureau (C.S.B.) determines it needs of required personnel to accomplish its tasks. When it is determined more employees are assigned to a Ministry than are necessary to accomplish specific work, or the number of assigned employees exceed the manpower ceiling, action will be taken to reduce the employees in the Ministry to the authorized numbers.
Article (2)
The Civil Service Bureau is assigned responsibility to determine the placement of surplus employees into positions in other Ministries where their skills are needed. Ministries will be notified of surplus skills available. Surplus employees will continue in full pay and work status until an appropriate assignment is located. The reassignment will be made without loss of salary.
Article (3)
All previous policies or practices which contradict the provisions of this Resolution are hereby abolished. The Civil Service Bureau will issue the necessary regulations to implement the provisions or this Resolution.
Article (4)
This Resolution will become effective Upon publication and will be published in the official Gazette.
