Resolution No. (02) for 1978
Regarding
MANPOMER CEILING
Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs,
In accordance with the Amiri Decree No.6 for 1975 which established the Civil Service Bureau, and the Prime Minister’s Resolution No.8 for 1975 which delegated sate jurisdictions of the Prime Minister, to the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and on Resolution No.6 of the Prime Minister regarding the assignment to the Civil Service Bureau the Central management and control of all personnel working in the Civil Service,
it is hereby ordained
Article (1)
In aggregate the number of authorised employees assigned to a Ministry and the number of positions under active recruitment should hot exceed the total authorisation determined by the Civil Service Bureau. All Ministries staffing will be managed within the approved section of part one of the State’s General Budget, for 1978—1979.
Article (2)
Civil Service Bureau should supervise the implementation of the provision of the preceding Article and ensure that the distribution of Civil Servants is based upon the employment needs and the personnel requirements of each Ministry.
Article (3)
This Resolution comes into effect the date it is issued and will be published in the official gazette.
