Resolution No. (1) for 1983
Regarding
APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS & ACTING DIRECTORS
Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs,
In accordance with Decree No. 6 for the year 1975 regarding the establishment of the Civil Service Bureau.
and with the Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 8 for the year 1975 which delegated some jurisdictions of the Prime Minister to the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs:
and with decision of the Council of’ Ministers taken in Meeting No. 452 on 4th March, 1977 regarding the appointment of Directors:
and with Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Resolution No. 10 for the year 1977 regarding the appointment procedures of Directors and Acting Directors:
and with Minister of’ State for Cabinet Affairs Resolution No. 2 for the year 1979 regarding promotions, and the CSB’s Regulation No. 610 issued in 31st March, 1979 on pay administration:
It is hereby ordained:
Article (1)
The nomination for the Director’s positions is according to an agreement between the Minister concerned and the Head of Civil Service. The conditions required for the position which will be filled by the nominee will have been reviewed by the Civil Service Bureau.
The nomination may be either from within or from outside the government. The appointment of the nominee will be effective upon the issuance of a resolution from the Prime Minister.
Article (2)
The Appointment of nominee as Acting Director will be for a period not to exceed one year. Toward the end of this period, the minister concerned after coordination with the Civil Service Bureau should recommend to the Council of Ministers the confirmation of appointment of the Acting Director to the position of Director, or the cancellation of the temporary appointment.
Article (3)
In case of cancellation of the temporary appointment, if the appointee was an employee, he will return to any permanent position with the same grade he was on prior to the temporary appointment.
If he was from outside the government, he may be nominated to fill another suitable position in coordination between the Minister concerned and the Civil Service Bureau.
Article (4)
The Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Resolution No. 10 for the year, 1977 is hereby rescinded. This resolution takes precedence over any policy or directive that is inconsistent with the above provisions.
Article (5)
This resolution will be published in the official gazette and will be effective on the date of Issue.
