Their Excellencies the Ministers:

Transmitted herewith is the regulation to implement the provisions of Resolution No. 13 for 1992 of H.H. the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Civil Service Council regarding granting a step increment to employees referred to retirement on 1st January issued on 22nd September 1992.

Granting a step increment on 1st December to an employee to be retired on 1st January results in one month’ s salary at the higher rate. Calculations will be made at the higher rate and will result in an increase in pension benefits and final settlement payment.

Ministries are responsible for identifying employees eligible for this step increment and for submitting to the Civil Service Bureau requests to process the actions.

This regulation is effective 22nd September 1992.
