Subject: Employee Attendance Control , CSR 402
Their Excellencies the Ministers.
Transmitted herewith is a regulation providing guidance to Ministries in applying a uniform and fair attendance recording and accounting system. It is particularly timely with the change to a five day work week to assure that full services are provided to the public. The emphasis is on guiding employees to understand that prompt and efficient service to the public is a high priority of government.
The Attendance control Form was developed in consultation with Ministry personnel. It will serve as an effective tool for supervisors when dealing with attendance of employees.
Procedures call for counseling of employees with attendance problems before initiating any disciplinary Measures.
